Board for Barbers and Cosmetology

PSI Services LLC has assumed examination administration responsibilities for the Board for Barbers and Cosmetology's regulated occupations.  The new examination fee is $86.00 per exam. 

New Applicants - You can apply for an exam with PSI at the following address: https://vacos.useclarus.com/.  Please review the registration and scheduling instructions at the link below for specific instructions on submitting your application.

Tested Under Prior Exam Vendor - Candidates who tested under the previous vendor, Professional Credential Services (PCS), and were not able to pass the required exams, do not need to reapply with PSI. Please follow the steps below to register for the exam. 

1. Go to https://candidate.psiexams.com/account/create_account.jsp 
2. Under Step 1: Provide your name and email address in the provided fields.  Be sure to use the same email address that you provided the previous vendor.
3. Check the box next to the red text “Check here to attempt to locate existing records for you in the system.” 
4. Under Step 2: Create a password and security question, then hit submit. 
5. You can then follow the instructions starting at the top of page 4 of the Registration and Scheduling Instructions guide.
